Favre: "I'll always be a Packer"

Several hours after I created this blog, "Brett Favre is a Packer", Favre actually stated in his August 7 press conference, "I've always wanted to be a Packer. I think I'll always be a Packer". I'm glad that Brett and I are on the same page on this one. Too bad Packers management hasn't caught up with us yet.


But, to hear Brett say these words gives me hope that hard feelings will eventually be patched up between Favre and the Packers organization. And Brett can come back to Green Bay where he belongs. I don't expect he'll ever take a snap in a Packers uniform ever again, but his presence at Lambeau should be welcomed. What events happen between now and then, remains to be seen. I hope that Brett is able to continue breaking his own records, and remains healthy on the playing field.

And I really hope that Brett knows what he is getting into.
